Larry Bleiberg
Coastal Living Senior travel editor Larry Bleiberg knows his way around an airfare search engine, but he¹d much rather be exploring the Oregon Coast or searching out lobster shacks in Maine.
Allen Bunting
Allen Bunting joined the Coastal Living family as an intern in 2006, and currently works as an Editorial Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing and making crafts, and playing with her mutt Foster (a.k.a. Mr. Stinky). She is an avid beachcomber and loves to travel. Downeast Maine is one of her favorite coastal escapes. She has always wanted to kayak Puget Sound, and looks forward to a return visit to San Francisco.
Jackie Froeber
Jacquelyne Froeber is the staff writer for Coastal Living, and is responsible for bringing amazing people, places, and cuisine to the magazine and the website: coastalliving.com. Born and raised on the Great Lakes, Jackie looks forward to summertime on Lake Michigan—but you can keep the winter.
Susan Anderson
Susan Cullen Anderson has been with Coastal Living since the first issue hit the newsstand in 1997. She’s the copy chief, which is a really strange title for the person who makes sure everything in the magazine is factually and grammatically correct, readable, and generally makes sense. Mistakes give her migraines. Susan, a former newspaper reporter and attorney, also writes stories for the magazine when she has time. Outside of work, she attempts to keep track of her husband and two kids. To keep her wits about her, she runs (i.e., participates in group therapy) with her girlfriends.
Kelly Brown Tomas
Kelly Brown Tomas, production assistant, spends her days making sure the print version of Coastal Living makes it safely to your home or on newsstands. She occasionally writes travel, homes, and lifestyle pieces and is thrilled she can now include her new obsession (blogging!) to her job description. When she’s not working, she’s daydreaming about decorating her new home (major work in progress), planning her next adventure, or spending time with her dog, Ginger.
Gayle Christopher
As Online Editor Gayle Christopher gets her feet wet in print and digital aspects of Coastal Living magazine. Primarily, she sees that the great content you see in the print magazine is represented and expanded online in features and tools that make the web site an enjoyable extension of the print experience. She enjoys writing the occasional travel or lifestyle piece and hopes someday to live near the water—even if it is just a kiddy pool in the back yard.
Susan Kim
As West Coast Editor, Susan Kim writes about the left side of our continent, where nature and culture rendezvous at Pacific’s edge. From the Northwest’s still-water coves to Northern California’s rugged coast to the sizzling beaches of Hawaii and Mexico, she is all over it. (It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it). However, Susan believes that “coastal living” is more than just where one resides; it’s a state of mind, regardless of where you live. Through her words, she hopes to inspire this laid-back way of life into your home. Whether it’s new delicious ways to eat the sea’s bounty, secret still-water coves, or hunting for that perfect lounge chair, she’ll take you there. Kick back and enjoy the ride!
Eleanor Hand
Eleanor Hand is the editorial intern for Coastal Living, and does a little bit of everything around the office. With a passion for travel, she has done a polar plunge in Antarctica and surfed on Australia’s Surfers Paradise beach. Her only continent remaining to visit: Asia. Where do you think her next vacation destination will be?
Blogs are what they are—personal riffs. This one represents the opinion and research of an individual writer, not that of Coastal Living magazine.
